HOW TO EDIT VIDEO ON YOUTUBE


You can already use YouTube to distribute your videos toworld-now you can also use the website to edit these videos using the YouTube Video Editor page. In 2011, YouTube video editor is much less sophisticated than other programs such as iMovie or Windows Movie Maker video editing simple, but the advantage with the use of this version is the ability to combine different video clips that you 've uploaded to YouTube. You will need a YouTube account to begin.

THINGS YOU NEED

  1. Log in to your YouTube account and upload videos that you want to work with by clicking on "Download" on the main page, then select the video files you want from files and folders on your computer. Wait for the video to download, which can take several hours depending on their size.
  2. Go to the YouTube Video Editor and click "Try Now" if the editor does not load automatically.Once the editor is open, you should see all the videos you have uploaded to your YouTube account listed in the pane on the clips in the section above and left of the editor.
  3. Drag the videos you want to use in the timeline, also known as a Storyboard-clicking on them and dragging them to the bottom left of the editor. Place each video in the order you want by dragging it before or after the other videos you've dragged to the timeline.
  4. Change the clips in the timeline by hovering over the video image, then clicking on the "scissors". This will open a new chapter. Change the length of the video by dragging the individual lines of the arrow left and right to left or right to trim portions of the clip. When you are finished, click "Save".
  5. Add music and transitions to video by clicking on the musical notes or the icon above transitions clips pane. For transitions, you'll see a number of selections, including wipes, fades and masks.Drag the desired transition in the upper pane to the place that you want to appear in the timeline.For music, choose from the selections provided in the menu music, then drag it to the timeline where you see the musical note displayed.
  6. Preview the video by clicking the play button in the preview pane in the top right section of the editor. Click "Publish" when the video is ready to be shared.
