Install Android 4.1.2 on Galaxy S2 [ Android Tutorial]

By late evening, we announced with great joy the arrival of Android 4.1.2 on the Galaxy S2 . Even if it is only a test version of the firmware, it shows that the upgrade to Jelly Bean is on track.
And this morning, as we promised, we offer you the tutorial to install Android 4.1.2 on your Galaxy S2 . However, it is important to know that this software version is still in testing. Therefore, bugs and FC (Force Close) may occur.
Currently in Ice Cream Sandwich, the transition to a new version of Android includes a wipe data cache. This operation has the effect of erasing all data on the phone. Nothing to lose, it is best to backup everything beforehand on a microSD card or an external storage.
For this operation, you will need to access the Recovery mode. It is therefore necessary to have CWM and have Roote its Galaxy S2 . If this is not the case, just follow the tutorial dedicated in here .
But before you begin the procedure, and as for flashing, you should know that we do not accept any liability for loss or brick your phone data. Even if the operation is simple and it is extremely rare, zero risk does not exist.
Start by downloading the file I9100XXLSJ_I9100OXXLS1_OXX.zip
Unzip to obtain I9100XXLSJ_ I9100OXXLS1_I9100XXLS6_HOME.tar
Now open Odin v1.85 ( download here ) and click on PDA. Add the file. Tar.md5. Make sure the box re-partition is not checked.
Turning the phone. Start by putting it in Recovery mode. To do this, turn it off and simultaneously press the Volume Up, Home and Power. You then go to a new menu. To navigate, use the Volume button and confirm with the Power button.
Then select wipe data / factory reset and wipe cache partition . From this point, all your data will be erased. Then shut down the terminal.
Now go Download mode. To do this, simultaneously press the Volume Down, Home and Power and Volume Up.
Now connect your Galaxy S2 to your computer via the USB cable. Box ID: COM will go into yellow (this may take 10 seconds). Once that happens, press Start .
Do not touch anything from now on, the operation is in progress. Once it is completed, the Galaxy S2 will restart itself and you will be in the presence of Android 4.1.2 .
To you enjoy and do not hesitate to give us your impressions.
