Disseminate AirPlay on the Freebox Revolution

The freenautes will be happy to hear that, indeed, the Freebox Revolution is assigned an updated version 1.1.0 apparently very awaited by users freebox .

This update is deployed on Server boxes (v6), so the Freebox Revolution is compatible with the technology AirPlay to Apple.

But without further ado here are the method that allows you to stream music via AirPlay service.

Compatible devices

• iPhone

• Mac

Meadows required

• Freebox Revolution version 1.1.0 minimum (Make a reboot of the Freebox if you are unsure)
• AirPlay compatible device

Tutorial

Step 1

Visit your management interface mafreebox.freebox.fr

Step 2

Enable the "Freebox AirMedia" in the menu "Network LOCAL". You can set a password, but this is optional.

Step 3

Now connect your AirPlay compatible device to your network via Wi-Fi and play a video or music. Click on the button AirPlay located in the interface of your reader. Then select " Freebox Server "

At the moment the Freebox only allows playback of sound. The video is not yet managed ...

If you want to connect the Freebox on a more powerful sound setup, here is the audio output to be behind the Freebox.
