HOW TO CONNECT A WIRELESS LAPTOP TO A WIRELESS PRINTER?


     If you have a laptop, a wireless routerand a wireless printer allows you to print anywhere in your home or office without the need for cables. You can also print to a printer for multiple computers. Various wireless printers have the installation process slightly different, but they usually follow the same pattern and are equipped with software to guide you.Everything you need to know is your wireless network name and password, which is information you should have to establish your Internet connection.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Connect the printer to your wireless router. Different brands of printers require slightly different processes to do so. Some printers can connect to your router through their own programming, simply find the option "Setup" on the screen of your printer and provide the name and password when prompted for your wireless network . Other models or brands may require that you connect the printer to temporarily router with an Ethernet cable. If this is the case, the cable must be supplied with the printer.
  2. Install software for your printer on your computer. You can do this with an installation CD that came with the printer or an Internet download from the manufacturer's website. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen and provide the required information such as the name of your wireless network and password, if necessary. You may need to temporarily disable the firewall settings to complete the installation process.
  3. Print a test page once the software installation is complete. You can now print from your laptop to the printer and disconnect the power cord can connect the printer to the router if necessary.Repeat the process of installing software on each computer you want to use with the printer.
