This tutorial explains how to transfer a file, for example, an Android smartphone to an Android tablet, via the function implemented by Samsung WiFi Direct, WiFi or via the application Shoot.
There are 1000 ways to transfer files from one Android device to another, such as a smartphone with a tablet. But if one has neither terminal nor Wifi Internet connection, there are only two ways: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct. We prefer the latter, which proved much faster than Bluetooth.
Step 1: Enable Wifi Direct on both devices
As its name suggests, WiFi Direct makes a direct transfer from one device to another without going through a wireless network. Must first activate the Wifi Direct on both devices. In our example, it is a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Note smartphone. This activation occurs in "Settings". Under "No son and networks", you select "More ... ". And at the bottom, you can put Wifi Direct On.
1 - Select a file
2 - Select the transfer mode
Step 2: Select the file to send
You select the file to send in the file explorer of the first device (in this case the Galaxy Note). If such an explorer does not exist, go look for one on Google Play. Once you see the file to send it relies extensively on it, which shows the screen "finish with action" in Figure 2. Alternatively, open the file by pressing briefly above and select "send via" (Figure 3).
3 - Select the transfer mode (bis)
4 - Select the target device
Steps 3: Check the existence of the option Wifi Direct
On Samsung tablets and smartphones, the previous action shows, among other things, WiFi Direct option. Devices on most other brands, you must install the application Wifi Shoot (see box) and repeat step 2.
Step 4: Send the file
Depending on the brand of the tablet, you select "Wifi Direct" or "Wifi Shoot" (Figure 2), which has the effect to show the selection screen of the destination device (Figure 4), which is called in the case P2P11963 (it is in fact the Galaxy Tab). It then selects the device.
5 - The file arrives on the shelf
6 - The file is in the folder ShareViaWifi
Step 5: On the Galaxy Tab, accept the connection and receive the file
The previous action causes the opening on the tablet of destination, a window that allows you to confirm the connection request from the Galaxy Note. This causes the receipt of the file, confirmed by a message overlaid on the home screen of the Galaxy Tab (Figure 5). The received file is located in the ShareViaWifi at the root of the storage shelf.
