Checking before buying a used iPhone


1. Verify water damage

You should never buy an iPhone that has suffered water damage, it may degenerate later, even if it appears to the purchase function properly.

2. Verify the IMEI number

How to get the IMEI number of the iPhone

Method 1: Go to the iPhone app Phone and dial * # 06 # as soon as you dial a 15-digit number is displayed.This is the IMEI number, write it down. 

Method 2: Go to Settings, General, About and scroll down and you will find the IMEI number. Once you have the IMEI number, go to this site www.imei.info and enter IMEI number and click verify. This will give you information about your iPhone. If you find incorrect information, then you should not buy the iPhone.


Note: If you have the box with the iPhone, you can also match the IMEI number written on the box with the phone.

3. Verify Speaker Volume

Go to Music> All songs and play any song from your music library with volume is at maximum. Listen 2-3 different songs to see if the sound changes when you switch songs strong / fast and slow sweet songs. If the sound is good and loud enough, is that the speaker is good.



4. Verify touchscreen

The best way to check the touchscreen is by downloading the free application Studio Paint and color the entire screen to see if all parts of the touch screen function. If you do not have internet connection and you can not download the application, then another excellent way to check the touchscreen is opening the search service (shift to the right of the screen) and pressing all the buttons on the keyboard to see if this works touch area. 


5. Verify the physical buttons and vibrate mode

6. Functions tester

12. Verify the age of the iPhone, and lifetime of the battery

It is important that you know what is the age of the iPhone you buy. You can confirm the date of purchase by seeing the invoice of the product. If you can not then you should also check the life of the battery .
