So late last week that a veritable flood of good news arrived. First we found the Galaxy S4 Google Edition is reserved at first for the U.S. market.
This rather special variation of the high-end Samsung then we unveiled the first firmware. In this way it is possible to transform the Galaxy S4 Google Edition, very easily.
But that's not all, this allowed us we have the confirmation 'of Android 4.3 as the new version of Google's operating system. Exclusively, we have proposed to install Android 4.3 on your Galaxy S4 through a complete tutorial but also video .
For those who have not yet taken the plunge today offer a presentation of Android 4.3.

We must not forget that we are in a Nexus experience, and thus the Touchwiz overlay and its many features, remained in the closet. Here, the Galaxy S4 has Android in its purest version, as you might find on a tablet or aNexus smartphone .
This can be seen after the ignition of the smartphone, with a new interface that showcases the red, with the new Phase Beam Live Wallpaper:

In terms of applications, we are in the presence of a Nexus universe, with black background and sort by alphabetical order of applications:

This allows in particular to find some features that were not included on the Galaxy S4, yet present on Android 4.2. Examples include DayDream.
This mode allows a interactive display lock. You can choose to scroll through photos, a patchwork, bubbles or time.
At the lock screen, you can also enjoy widgets for easy and faster access:

Note that the application WatchOn is compatible with this new version of Android. Not present natively, you can install it. To do this, just download the apk WatchOn by clicking here .
Fully functional, this application allows us to be able to regain the use of the infrared port. Similarly, we tried to install Health S or S Translator , but these applications are not compatible (yet) with Android 4.3.
The rays of real news brings Android 4.3, we must recognize that it is quite limited, and is more detail.
Firstly, there is a change in the Roboto font:

At the Wi-Fi advanced settings now allow Google's location service and other applications to find networks, even when Wi-Fi is turned off. We can also note optimization of Wi-Fi:

The radius of connectivity, and as might be expected, the Bluetooth 4.0 makes its appearance. It has the fashion BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) to conserve battery power, as its name suggests.
At the application level phone , two new options are emerging: Add a pause of 2s and AutoComplete for the keypad:

The camera has also been a slight change, including improving the Photosphere mode. But no need to have Android 4.3 to take advantage of this update, thanks to our dedicated tutorial .
Similarly to what the camera offers Android 4.2, that in this new version of Google's OS takes a seemingly simple design. In terms of news, not much of note, if not presented in various settings arc in a circle, rather than round.

The menu is now sliding multi-level settings. Just drag your finger across the screen to access these levels.
But what Android 4.3 brings a real gain in performance? On paper, this new version of the OS is designed to run on smartphones shipping with 512MB of RAM. Therefore, optimization is really pushing, and this should not be a concern for our Galaxy S4, with its quad-core Snapdragon 600 and 2GB of RAM.
It is true that the use, in its Google Galaxy S4 Edition is extremely fluid, with a rapidity of impressive performance. Despite the fact that it is a leaked firmware in development, we have had no bug and no FC (Force Close) has occurred. We will just note that Dashclock is not yet compatible with Android 4.3, but it is only a matter of days.
To test this first impression, we obviously increased our Galaxy S4 to some common benchmarks.
Start with Quadrant, which tests all the features of the device:

Surprisingly, and against all odds, the Galaxy S4 in its classic version (GT-I9505) in front of a few hundred points. The difference is really minimal.
The side of the AnTuTu benchmark, also testing all the features of the unit, the difference is much more striking in favor of the Galaxy S4 Google Edition this time:
